Weare looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking individual to lead our awardwinning Tissue Viability Team here at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust. Thepost holder will need to have current and up-to-date expert tissue viabilityknowledge. They will need to be able to demonstrate exemplary organisationalskills and have a passion for patient care.

Thispost would be suitable for someone with at least 3 years experience within atissue viability nurse role seeking to step up from a band 6 specialist nursingpost to a band 7 where you would consolidate your experience and senioritywithin our specialist nursing team.

Main duties of the job

Thepost holder will need to lead a trust wide evidence-based Tissue ViabilityService that provides expert advice on complex wound management to community nursingand community hospital teams, mental health, learning disabilities and childrenservices, nursing homes and GP practices. They need to show a passion forquality improvement and be able to maintain and monitor the quality of woundcare through audit, surveillance and education. Strategic planning, and developmentof new, innovative patient pathways to improve patient care and outcomes is akey part of this role.

Thepost holder will work autonomously within their defined speciality, encompassingthe skills of advanced clinical assessment, examination, diagnosis, andtreatment within an agreed scope of practice.

Thisexciting and demanding role will be split between clinical and non-clinicalwork, as such the candidate will be expected to be able to adapt to changingpriorities and demands.

Thepost holder will be required to provide clinical oversight of the services comprehensivetraining and development programme. They must also demonstrate a commitment tonational quality standards and work closely with key stakeholders to promote evidence-basedpractice and integrated working across all Leicestershire Partnership serviceareas.
