Main duties of the job

  • The post’s main role will be working as part of the CRM team carrying out device follow up checks in clinic and remotely and working in the cardiac cath lab assisting with device implants.
  • The post holder should hold a valid Bsc in Cardiac Physiology qualification or equivalent.
  • Your role will include working in the cardiac rhythm lab, providing support during brady device and ILR implants.
  • You will also be part of the cardiac device clinic rota, Inpatient rhythm management, cardiac diagnostic service, and the cardiac cath lab for device implants.
  • You will be part of the pacing bleep rota, and your role will involve attending inpatient device checks, patient query and CRM admin.
  • You will be based mainly at the Barnet site; however, you will be expected to work at Chase Farm hospital when required.
  • The rota will also involve work from home remote device clinics.
  • You will be expected to cover all non-invasive cardiac testing where required across site.
  • To actively participate in the training and supervision of trainee/junior team members.
  • To participate in department meetings, training programmes, and other developmental sessions.
  • You will be able to represent the cardiac rhythm team at audits and MDT meetings
  • To comply with all relevant local and Trust-wide policies and procedure

To continue personnel development in this very technical field and ensure that all necessary accreditations are maintained, or working towards BHRS accreditation
