Rotational Specialist Clinical Pharmacist (With EDC), Band 6/7 dependant upon experience.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Clinical Pharmacy team as a Band 6/7 Rotational Specialist Clinical Pharmacist in Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust (BHT).

We will consider applications from suitable candidates who need to gain experience and build baseline skills in secondary care, to commence at a Band 6 level and develop to Band 7 level after satisfactory completion of a developmental programme.

Main duties of the job

Participate in the provision of ward / clinical pharmacy services to the clinical division, reviewing prescriptions, communicating effectively with appropriate healthcare professionals to solve patient related medicines management problems, minimising clinical risk

Provide education for patients and carers in all aspects of their drug therapy and medicines management, advising them of any discharge issues.

Assist in the provision of education to other healthcare professionals on

medication related topics.

Record appropriate information on prescriptions, administration records and clinical records to ensure safety in medicines administration while showing good information governance.

Prioritise workload in clinical areas to ensure higher priority issues are dealt with first

Assist senior pharmacists in the development of clinical pharmacy services

and implementation of changes necessary to achieve developments

Undertake audit work under direction of the Lead Pharmacist for and in liaison with the directorate.

Assist Lead Pharmacist in development of clinical guidelines relating to the Directorate and the Trust and their implementation
