The role of the Employee Relations (ER) Assistant is to provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the Employee Relations Team, Recruitment Relationship Manager and ad hoc support to the HR Business Partnering team as agreed by the Head of ER. The post holder will provide a responsive and customer focused administration and clerical service ensuring that all processes are in line with NHS Employers and Trust terms and conditions and best practice.

Employee Relations Assistant Band 3

To help us with this journey we are looking for someone to join our evolving and expanding Employee Relations and HR Business Partnering Team in this hugely critical assistant role. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and committed individual to start and build their HR career by joining our team in the role of Employee Relations Assistant who will support our wider employee relations team, HR business partnering team and recruitment approvals processes. This means the individual will get a real variety of work to be able to support on across the directorate giving them a varied level of knowledge across different HR specialisms.

Typical HR support tasks will include: processing DBS rechecks, issuing addendums to contracts, running and distributing monthly reports, checking and escalating on compliance reports, dealing with day to day queries, completing reference requests.

The individual will also support the Employee Relations team co-ordinate information, setting up hearing panels and taking minutes and typing up notes to support all HR case work. This is a critical role that also involves supporting the weekly recruitment process by managing the processing of all approvals post the weekly vacancy approval panel and supporting any additional tasks across the wider HR team as needed.
