Job summary

We are a dedicated, multi-professional team, looking for an experienced secretary/administrator to join us. If you are looking for an opportunity to expand your knowledge base and management skills, then we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Clinical Site Management/Site Operations team.

The post holder will be responsible for providing administrative services to the team to support the delivery of a robust person-centred service across the hospital. You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team working with clear, well managed processes and protocols.

Responsibilities include the strategic and operational day to day management of the safe and timely discharge of patients in Newham Hospital, working across multi-agency/professional services across multi sites.

You will provide support to the teams, specialist services and divisions across both hospital and community where required.

This can, at times, be a highly pressured role and will therefore suit someone with excellent organisational skills, who can remain calm, whilst working under pressure. You will need good problem solving skills and an ability to work at a fast pace, whilst multi-tasking and managing conflicting demands.

Main duties of the job

To provide administrative services to the Site Operations Team/Clinical Site Management Team. This will include, capacity and flow through admissions and discharges, working with all hospital teams, community partners, community groups and charities, to ensure we provide an efficient and effective services to our service users.
