An opportunity has arisen at Westhaven Hospital to join the Facilities Team as a Cleaner

Our cleaning team are a vital part of our hard working team at the hospital and are valued and as important as much as any other member of staff.

Applicants should be enthusiastic, motivated and able to work as part of a team and also on their own

This position is for 20 hours per week, working set days in the week, to include working every other weekend for which extra level of pay is offered.

Additional hours are also available for sickness cover or annual leave cover should the need arise

This role also offers an exiting opportunity to undertake a Level 2 Facilities Operative apprenticeship, after successfully completing a probation period. This isn’t an essential requirement for this post however is a great opportunity to help your progress in your career

Full training, induction and uniform will be provided and we also offer generous annual leave entitlement as well as a pension scheme

Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

Main duties of the job

This is a multi-skilled roll to provide an effective, patient-focused Facilities Service.(FM) in the delivery of cleaning, portering and catering.

Cleaning

Provide an effective, patient-focused cleaning and domestic service, to meet NHS cleanliness standards as a minimum

Portering

Provision of appropriate portering services

Catering

To contribute to the delivery of Catering Services in the hospital and ensure a clean, safe and hygienic environment.
