CNC Programmer/Operator

Are you looking for a new opportunity? Great! A very exciting new position for a CNC operator has risen in the Andover area.

Salary: Up to £38k (based on experience)

Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:30-5:00 and Fridays 8:00-3:00pm

Some of the responsibilities

  • Manufacture mechanical components for use within CTD products in an agreed timeframe to the required quality level using the equipment with the CNC / Machine shop at CTD.

  • Program CNC Okuma 5 axis machining centre using Gibbscam cam software

  • Program Haas CNC mill using OneCNC cam software

  • As part of the programming of the equipment modify “G” code to ensure the correct operation of the CNC equipment Program XYZ mill

  • Operate Haas CNC mill, XYZ mills, CNC Okuma 5 axis machining centre

    • The successful candidate will have

  • Engineering machinist qualification/apprenticeship

  • Minimum of 5 years of machining experience

  • Proficient use of CNC machinery

  • Programming knowledge

  • Proficient in manual lathe, pillar drill, bench grinder and surface grinder

  • Experience of using CMM and other measuring equipment

  • Strong command of English language

  • Knowledge of health and safety in a manufacturing environment
