Job summary

We are looking for a Band 6 physiotherapist to become a permanent, full-time member of our team based at Riverside Clinic, Ipswich, beginning a rewarding journey of learning, development and progression in the career of MSK physiotherapy.

Main duties of the job

Principle Purpose/s:

  • To assess and treat patients with a wide range of conditions, who may have complex and/or chronic presentation, to determine clinical diagnosis and plan, develop, implement and evaluate physiotherapy programmes and management plans.
  • To provide Physiotherapy Assessment and treatment in Clinics, Health Centres, GP surgeries and community hospitals, including First Point of Contact services as appropriate.
  • To work and maintain records as an autonomous practitioner.
  • To provide specialist Therapeutic input into planning, development and evaluation of clinical services, with responsibility for defined projects.
  • To provide clinical and supervisory leadership to junior staff and students within the team, including case load allocation, appraisal and managerial supervision.
  • To coach and develop all members of the team using recognised management and training tools and techniques, including the AHP Learning Knowledge and Skills Framework and Personal Development Reviews, to achieve corporate and team objectives.

  • A clear understanding of and a high level of commitment to clinical governance.
  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary service
