A well respected and established leader in the manufacture of highly precision machined components for various industry sectors including Aerospace are currently looking for a skilled CNC Turner able to Program Set and Operate CNC Turning machining centres (Lathes).

Job Profile
Due to continued growth in customer base and orders, this company is looking for CNC Turner with a proven and demonstrable ability to program, set and operate their CNC Turning machines (Lathes).
This position would suit a time-served CNC Turner within a precision engineering environment with a desire and willingness to potentially progress into a management role.
The successful CNC Turner will benefit from excellent working conditions alongside a team of other highly skilled and friendly machinists, as well as having genuine career progression opportunities.

Duties

  • Program set and operate CNC Turning machines
  • Machining exotics to tight tolerances
  • Producing batch sizes ranging from 1off and sometimes up to 1000’soff
  • Work according to tight schedules and follow strict quality control and precise guidelines as outlined in ISO 9100 & ISO 9001 standards
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

Skills & Attributes

  • Proven and demonstrable experience programming, setting and operating CNC Turning machines is essential
  • Experience with Okuma/Haas controls is advantageous but other controls experience will be considered
  • Offline programming with use of CAD software desirable
  • Experience machining to tight tolerances
  • Experience in a similar role within a precision engineering environment working to AS9100 & ISO 9001 standards
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings

Hours of Work

  • 40hours per week
  • Earlies, Days or Late Shifts available
  • 7.30am – 4:30pm, Mon to Fri
  • 6am start for early shift (+10% shift premium)
  • 1:30pm start for late shift (+20% shift premium)
  • circa £17.00 p/hr
  • OT available paid at x1.3hrs after 40hrs per week

Location: Isleworth
Salary: £33,000 – £42,000 (inclusive of shift premium)
