CHC Senior Contract Manager

Full Time Vacancy

Based in Acton House, Worcester or St Owen’s, Hereford.

Main duties of the job

To work collaboratively within the ICB system and with all stakeholders, using expert knowledge of Health and Social care contract and commissioning cycles, to develop services that ensure patient outcomes are achieved within a specialised portfolio area.

Develop strategic contract monitoring and critically appraise service delivery to support the Head of CHC contract and commissioning to provide a good understanding of contract performance management.

Provide day to day operational contract support to CHC operational teams including brokerage.

Manage contacts directly with providers including negotiation, development, and monitoring of a range of Continuing Healthcare contracts.

Be an integral part of procurement projects acting as contracting lead.

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Continuing Healthcare (CHC) department. The post holder will support the Commissioning Lead by having relevant knowledge and experience in Contracts and Brokerage. The role involves the relationship management of providers of care home services; other residential settings and homecare and will be liaising with the CHC/Complex Care clinical team, local authorities, other ICBs and providers as appropriate.

The successful candidate will have experience of contract negotiation and management, skilled in building relationships with strong interpersonal skills to deal with highly complex and sensitive matters that arise in day-to-day business. You will need to be proactive, resilient and driven to succeed with a strong can do attitude, attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong IT skills including experience of large volume datasets, analysis of data, a good understanding of healthcare pathways and good report writing skills are essential for this role, together with an ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
