We are currently looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our busy team working remotely.

As a Full Stack Developer at Ascenti you’ll join a growing product team as the technical lead for a market-disrupting mobile application. We’re looking for someone to combine their creative flair and expert field-knowledge to deliver a differentiating experience for our patients.

With a track record of creating elegant mobile applications and websites, you’ll be rapidly developing new features across the full stack and adapting the application to cope with future scale as we introduce it to new markets.

As a member of our agile team, you’ll take technical ownership of multiple React Native and React codebases underpinning our in-house mobile application and services. You’ll work closely with the product owner and stakeholders across our business to iterate on existing features and add major new feature branches to align with the roadmap set out in our digital strategy.

Salary: £58,000 – £60,000

Hours of Work: Full Time, Monday- Friday, 37.5 Hours

Full Stack Developer Duties:

  • Full-stack development of a React Native mobile app and related websites and services as required
  • Technical owner and architectural decision maker for the application stack.
  • Implementing elegant user interfaces to align with brand and UX requirements.
  • Contributing to the product strategy by innovating new ideas and iterating features.
  • Contributing to a multi-disciplinary agile team to bring a product vision to market.
  • Assist the product owner to distil tasks into requirements and estimate effort as part of sprint planning.
  • Nurturing other team members, mentoring junior developers and working with other product teams to improve culture and code quality.
  • Remaining pragmatic – you’ll care more about getting the job done rather than holding allegiance to specific tools or languages.
  • Assist with other development projects and products as required.

Full Stack Developer Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of modern architectures for developing mobile applications and websites.
  • A genuine interest in delivering modern user experiences.
  • History of working in agile software development teams.
  • Deep understanding of the React development ecosystem associated patterns, trends and tooling
  • TypeScript
  • Node.js
  • Product focussed.
  • Proven track record delivering React websites and/or mobile applications.
