Joining our Visitor Fundraising team, you will be responsible for delivering the highest standards of customer service by providing a warm welcome to our diverse audiences, asking for voluntary donations, and managing admission at the entrance of the museum.

About the role

We are recruiting for two Visitor Fundraiser roles:

a) Full-time, 35 per week

b) Part-time, 14 per week (Weekends)

Being Front of House, you will be one of the first faces our visitors see when they enter the museum. You will have the confidence to engage with our visitors in a professional and friendly manner and ask for donations as part of a warm visitor welcome.

Working with our wider Visitor Experience team, you will help to manage visitor flow at the entrance of the museum and be responsible for processing museum admission tickets. You will be actively promoting the museum offer, up selling our commercial and retail activities, and encouraging Gift Aid and email opt-ins to ensure we meet our targets.

About you

You will be a true advocate for the Museum and the Group – with the ability to absorb information and communicate this in a positive and engaging way. Using your excellent communication skills, you will actively approach and encourage donations from our diverse audiences.

Whether you have been a fundraiser in the past, worked sales or retail, or if you this would be a new venture for you, you will be key to inspiring others in future of the Museum and confidently engaging the public to support us.
