s and responsibilities

  • To support the Student Finance function in maintaining and updating the University’s student finance records system (SITS).
  • To assist the Student Finance Supervisor in the generation and distribution of student invoices and credit notes and to generate refund requests for authorisation in line with University procedures.
  • To assist in the processing of standard debt settlement arrangements in accordance with University procedures and as part of this to refer non-standard issues to the Student Finance Supervisor.
  • To assist the Student Finance Supervisor in ensuring that payments received are processed to the correct student/sponsor account.
  • To support the University’s debt recovery processing through the generation of statements and chasing of outstanding debts either by telephone, email or direct contact with students.
  • To resolve queries for students, sponsors and University staff in accordance with University procedures.
  • To assist in Student Registration events at various times of the academic year which may require working out of normal office hours.
  • To be proactive in collaborating with the Head of Student Finance / Student Finance Supervisor and other relevant staff across the University in helping to develop improved systems and processes, particularly using new technology / software where appropriate.
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as may be requested by the Student Finance Supervisor and the Head of Student Finance in the provision of the student finance service.
