About Us

The Department of Strategy, Enterprise and Sustainability has a reputation for delivering high quality courses such as BA (Hons) Business Management, MSc Management (with Consultancy, and with Sustainability), MSc Entrepreneurship as well as our sector leading CMDA Apprenticeships. As one of the largest departments in the university we pride ourselves on delivering programmes that develop and challenge our students, whilst preparing them for future graduate opportunities. To meet the strategic ambitions of the department we are seeking to recruit a Programme Support Tutor to our team to contribute to outstanding learning and teaching across our programmes.

About the Role 

The role is to provide support to the leadership team to enhance overall programme delivery, students’ experience and progression and success in the department at undergraduate, postgraduate and apprenticeship level. The postholder will work with the Deputy Head of Department, Programme Leaders, and the Department Manager to support the management and operational support around programme delivery. The role will include for example, attending Department/Programme meetings as required, supporting Programme Leaders with programme calendars and schedule of activities, planning and supporting Induction, assisting resolution of scheduling or timetabling issues, programme and curriculum set up, student events etc.

Ideally, you will be a team player, able to establish positive and productive relationships with both colleagues and students. You will have experience of working in education setting, preferably higher education. Being student focused and collaborative as well as being driven in your own personal development is essential.

In recognition of staff contributions to the University’s achievements during the 2021/2022 academic year, an additional discretionary payment of 2% per annum will be added to your salary until 31/07/23 in order to ensure consistency amongst existing and incoming staff. This additional 2% will be paid pro rata in equal monthly installments, on top of your salary each month until 31/07/23.
