Morgan Hunt are recruiting an occupationally competent Trainer who will lecture on our apprenticeship programmes and in particular our degree programmes.

The area of expertise will be in Networking and Infrastructure and will join the highly regarded Digital Apprenticeship Team based at Gloucestershire College (Cheltenham and Gloucester Campuses).

The purpose of this role is to create effective and stimulating opportunities for learning through high quality teaching, learning and assessment that enables the development and progression of apprentices on all programmes and in particular our degree apprenticeship programmes.

Full-time

Up to £45,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience £4,000 scarce skill joining bonus*

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Motivate, inspire and lead apprentices in the achievement of their apprenticeship on
  • time and to a high standard

  • Develop and deliver creative and inspiring lessons that meet the needs of the
  • Apprenticeship Standard preparing the learner for End Point Assessment and

    achievement of qualification(s)

  • Develop a range of effective resources, including appropriate use of new and emerging
  • technologies ensuring they are inclusive, promote equality and engage with diversity.

  • Implement and administer all assessment and internal quality procedures as laid down
  • by the General Conditions of Recognition from Ofqual and other regulatory bodies,

    including the Institute of Apprenticeships and Technical Education

  • Support, train and guide apprentices and learners to develop their personal and
  • professional attitudes, skills and abilities to have a positive impact in their employment

  • Participate in apprenticeship and learner reviews as required
  • Contribute to the achievement of targets in respect of attendance, retention and
  • achievement

  • Maintain an on-going programme of personal professional development in order to
  • achieve high standards in line with the requirements of the Awarding Body,

    Professional Body and the College’s Quality Assurance policies and procedures

  • Undertake such other duties as the Business School Manager or Director of Employer
  • Training may reasonably require

  • To prepare learners for End Point Assessment
  • To compile and maintain documentation in relation to the progress of learners against
  • specified targets and provide evidence and reports in relation to this as required

  • To develop and take responsibility for the delivery of individual training plans tailored
  • to candidate needs

  • To promote training opportunities to employers and contribute to the development of
  • new business

    General

  • Take an active part in the performance review process.
  • Comply with all relevant Health & Safety regulations and assist the College in the
  • implementation of its own Health & Safety Policy.

  • Comply with and actively promote the College’s Equality and Diversity Policy.
  • Comply with and actively promote the College’s Safeguarding Policy and Practices.
  • Support the College’s sustainability policies and recognise the shared responsibility of
  • carrying out duties in a resource efficient way.

  • Participate in enrolment.
  • Undertake a first-aid qualification and participate in the first aid rota, as required.
  • Undertake any other relevant duties as specified by your line manager commensurate with the level of this post.
