If so, we have your next job role! We are looking for a passionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted rated Good Specialist School in the LS13 area. As a successful candidate, you will be supporting children and young people aged 4-19 with ASD needs. It is a highly rewarding job role, where you can make a real difference to the lives of children!

This is a full time position (8:30 – 15:30), available as soon as possible.

Here are the responsibilities of a SEN TA:

* You will support the teacher with lessons and behaviour management

* You must contribute to the safeguarding of all children

* You will communicate effectively with children, staff, parents and carers where required

* You will engage students in learning to keep them on task

* You will adapt your support depending on the needs of the child – every child is unique!

Requirements for the job:

* An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one)

* Ideally at least 6 months experience working with children – preferably those with SEN

* Eligibility to work in the UK

* A true passion about working with children

* Able to display sensitivity and patience
