Supply Teacher

Magisters Education have recently partnered with a primary school in Havering. They are looking to appoint a Supply Teacher to work on a full time basis to start in January 2023.

About the role

  • The Supply Teacher role is a January 2023 start till the end of the academic year. Opportunities to stay on after.
  • Be confident to teach Phonics, and be able to deliver Phonics through a range of schemes such as Letters and Sounds or Read Write Inc -Be able to plan lessons appropriately which link to the KS1’s statutory curriculum statements
  • Have the ability to differentiate and plan engaging lessons for KS1 children -Be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work
  • Ability to accommodate work for students with EHCP/undiagnosed SEN.

  • Experience working with a KS1 class
  • Good behaviour management
  • High expectations for children and for themselves, including a commitment to professional development
  • A commitment to ensuring every child makes the best possible progress.
  • The ability to adopt and respond to professional challenges positively.
  • An enthusiasm for engaging with and helping to build the positive school community, as well as, helping the children to understand their place in the wider world.
  • Offer a curriculum emphasising core academic subjects, while providing the facilities and specialist staff to meet and stimulate a wider range of interests
  • Employ an approach to teaching that instils knowledge, understanding, and a desire to learn
