Library Site Manager – Health Services Library 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well organised person to lead the Health Services Library as a Library Site Manager based at Southampton General Hospital. 

This position offers the opportunity of managing a site Library offering excellent Library services to a range of users including University of Southampton Students, Academics and NHS/UHS staff. You will be a positive person, an effective communicator and have strong leadership skills. You will be able to successfully plan and deliver small projects and work effectively with key internal and external stakeholders such as our NHS partners and all Library teams. 

The successful candidate will manage a team of Customer Services Assistants and Supervisors to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of a high quality and professional customer service to all. You will be able to problem solve and use your initiative to ensure the service delivery is robust. The role will be responsible for managing team workloads, monitoring performance, motivating the team and working collaboratively with the broader Customer Services team. Our ideal candidate will have the experience of using a range of IT systems to support the day to day operations of the service. 

Salary £26396 – £31,411. 

The University provides a generous annual leave entitlement increasing to a maximum of 24 days pro rata. In addition, University employees are also entitled to supplementary University closure days as well as bank holidays.
