You will be working within an 11-18 secondary school based in Walsall who deliver an outstanding education in a caring and inclusive environment. Our school are seeking a motivational and engaging Music and Drama teacher to join their hard-working, supportive, and forward-thinking department, who can develop ideas for lessons and approaches to teaching. You will play a key role in sharing your enthusiasm and passion for your subject, to help each student to achieve their potential.

To be successful for this role, you must:

  • Have recent experience teaching Drama and Music within a school setting on either a permanent or temporary basis
  • Hold qualified teacher status (QTS / QTLS)
  • Eligibility to work within the UK
  • Hold an enhanced DBS check on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one
  • Have up-to-date safeguarding training; Career Teachers offer a FREE online Safeguarding training course
  • Able to provide a minimum of 2 x references to cover the last 2 years of employment history
  • Experience teaching Drama and Music at KS3 and 4.
  • A positive mindset with a passion for teaching and learning
  • Able to establish constructive and positive relationships with your pupils
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management
  • Committed to raising attainment
