Role: Service Desk Manager

Location: Based on site with our key customer in Stevenage

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing all the daily operations of the IT Service Desk, the Service Desk team, representing the Service Desk function to other stakeholders, and ensuring that the Service Desk is constantly developing and improving

  •  

    Ensures that all service lines are delivered to the required quality standards and that all Service Level Agreements are met or exceeded

  • Ability to build strong and long-lasting relationships with the customer along with the ability to self-motivate and prioritise workload and being able to function effectively under pressure.

  • Recruitment, retention, and development of the Service Desk team, along with ongoing coaching and performance management.

Skills, Experience, Knowledge

  • Extensive experience of working within a Service Desk environment in a management capacity ideally with a Managed Service Provider and in a multi-supplier environment
  • Service Desk Institute/ITIL v3 or 4 qualifications (e.g. ITIL Service Operations)
  • Strong and credible leader with proven ability to manage and motivate staff to deliver results.
  • In depth knowledge of a variety of ITSM tools
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to deal with challenging personalities.
  • Ability to attain SC Clearance
