College of Medicine & Veterinary Medicine, Deanery of Clinical Sciences

Full time: 35 hours per week

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and dynamic Administrator to provide HR related support to the Centre for Cardiovascular Sciences within the Deanery of Clinical Sciences

The Opportunity:

To manage the effective processing of all system-based recruitment and efficient processing of actions required as part of the life cycle of a member of staff (eg. Extensions, changes in hours etc.). This post will primarily work with the Centre for Cardiovascular Sciences.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Vocational qualifications (N/SVQ 3, or equivalent) plus typically 2 years work experience, or, school education to standard grade or equivalent plus typically 3 years work experience.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of relevant systems (eg. Word, Excel)
  • Experience of working/responding independently and dealing with unforeseen problems and circumstances
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience providing HR support, including knowledge of University HR practices and procedures, particularly recruitment is desirable
