Manchester Local Care Organisation is recruiting two motivated and dynamic Lead Dietitians to work within the citywide Community Nutrition Service.

The service provides nutritional support for adults who receiving enteral feeding at home, or identified as malnourished or at risk of becoming malnourished, with assessment and intervention taking place in a variety of settings including home, residential or nursing homes and community clinics.

This is an excellent opportunity to right candidate to develop in leading service delivery, change and staff development. They will be passionate in delivering high quality services and have experience of working as part of larger integrated health and social care system.

Part – time hours would be considered and can be discussed as part of the interview process.

Main duties of the job

To act as Team leader for the Community Nutrition Service and lead dietitian in a specified locality, operationally line managing staff.

Supporting team members to deliver on their objectives through offering advice, guidance and support as appropriate with the focus being on delivering a high quality and efficient Dietetic service to patients of all complexity in a variety of settings.

Act autonomously in the management of an adult caseload with a varying degree of nutritional complexity and project lead in Community Nutrition Service to ensure delivery of a high quality, evidence based Nutrition and Dietetic service across the MLCO footprint.

To supervise and support staff including band 5 and band 6 Dietitians by providing appraisals, supervision sessions and peer support and the training of junior staff including students.
