Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer – ELEMIS

Role

Reporting to the Head of IT Infrastructure & Security the Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer will ensure all business systems are secure, backed up, fit for purpose, and running optimally. Propose and deliver innovative solutions to meet changing business demands and assist the Head of Infrastructure & Security in making key strategic decisions on the direction of the IT Infrastructure and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the administration and management of the Server estate, network, storage, and virtualisation infrastructure.
  • Monitor the core network and server infrastructure, escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Act as an escalation point for problematic helpdesk calls.
  • Manage the deployment, integration, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems.
  • Create documentation including server strategy, network topologies, design, build and formal proposals.
  • In conjunction with external suppliers, manage the estate security, servers, networks, and administrative and project-based tasks.
  • Work with the Data Protection Officer to ensure Elemis remains PCI and GDPR compliant.
  • Work towards Elemis achieving Cyber Essential & ISO27001 accreditation.
  • Any other tasks as defined by the Head of IT Infrastructure & Security

Your Profile

Technical

  • Experience and detailed technical knowledge using Active Directory, Windows Server 2008/2022, Windows Desktop 10/11 SQL Server, and Azure environments, including Autopilot, Intune, Sentinel, Endpoint and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Experience with VMware, Veeam, Cisco, Meraki.
  • Experience working in a desktop environment, ensuring the latest patches are deployed, images are held and updated, and creating and upgrading packages.
  • Sound understanding of LAN, WAN, and communication networks, including IPSec and SSL VPNs.
  • Experience with Active Directory (AD) & Group Policies.
  • Experience with Cyber Essential & ISO 27001 accreditation.
  • Exposure to Dynamics 365 (F&O) is desirable
  • Management of incidents ensuring they hit SLA where possible.

Package:

  • £50,000-£60,000 basic salary
