Working a rostered shift pattern covering M-F0800-2100, S-S 1000-1500

Consideration will be given to those wanting towork part time able to offer regular patterns of work activity across our hoursof delivery.

We welcome people who have worked in driving, or inwarehouse environments previously and want to use their existing skills in theNHS.

Equally we are keen to hear from individuals who arepassionate about service delivery and keen to promote excellence in health carein a role that does not require clinical training or previous specificexperience, who want to be part of a highly efficient team, making a differenceto patients and clinicians.

Excellent verbalcommunication skills and a full driving licence are essential. We will provide you with resources todevelop and progress a long-term career including level 2 and 3apprenticeships.

Main duties of the job

  • Undertake the delivery and collection ofequipment to and from clients’ homes driving one of our services vans.
  • Gain knowledge of equipment and be able toselect it from stock and load your van based on the next days scheduled plan,with the support of senior drivers and warehouse supervisors.
  • Supported to gain skills for handling equipment,including manual handling processes and risk assessments to look after yoursafety and wellbeing when moving, delivering and collecting equipment.
  • Communicating politely with queries frompatients, carers and staff when delivering/collecting equipment, phoningWarehouse Supervisors if help is required.
  • You will be trained on how to assemble electricprofiling beds which are needed to allow patients to come home quickly fromhospital. You will regularly deliver, assemble, dismantle and collect theseitems.
  • Cleaning returned equipment, maintaining aclean, safe warehouse, and undertaking duties associated with the maintenanceof stock.
