Senior CT / MR Support Worker

We are a friendly cross sectional imaging team committed to delivering high quality patient care whilst delivering excellent patient care 24/7. We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard working and flexible member to join our team based at the Northern Care Alliance.

Main duties of the job

The Senior CT / MR Support Worker is a vital part of the radiography team, providing an efficient and high quality imaging service, whilst dealing with patients in a caring professional manner. The role is both challenging and rewarding. The Support Worker will be expected over time to develop skills and experience in a range of areas, and is involved in clerical duties, patient care, moving and handling, MRI safety screening and cannulation of patients. Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to sometimes emotionally challenging and pressured situations are required.

Successful candidates will be expected to join our rotas covering 7 days a week, though flexible working patterns will be considered at interview.

The Cross Sectional Imaging department supports a wide range of specialties including neurosurgery, paediatrics, breast, liver, oncology, MSK, urology, abdominal and vascular surgery. It is a diverse and interesting place to work in, with the radiology team working closely with clinical teams to provide high quality imaging.
