Job summary
The Cardiology department within Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to come and work within the Cardiac Physiology service as a Cardiographer.
The successful candidate will preferably have experience working in a healthcare setting including experience of performing ECG’s however training will be given for the right candidate. Applicants must have at least 5 GCSE’s of grade C or above.
Candidates must have good communication and people skills with proven experience of working with the general public and the ability and personality to undertake Clinical work in all areas of the main hospitals.
First Aid experience is desirable.
The ability to travel to all three main sites of the trust is a prerequisite along with the ability to work during school holidays.
Main duties of the job
Performing 12 lead ECG’s
Providing an ambulatory monitoring service for ECG and Blood Pressure for patients both in house and remotely (Via the post) as required.
Will involve communication with the patient both face to face and over the phone.
We are a friendly and supportive department, with a strong ethos of encouragement and support for staff with their ongoing CPD. We have good links with research and development and strong links with Imperial College Healthcare. We are committed to providing our patients with the highest level of care possible.
Training will be provided in the area of ECG and staff are encouraged and supported to achieve certification with the Society of Cardiological Science and Technology
