Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Ward Clerk to join a forward thinking team based within Care Group 2. The service provides a wide range of services encompassing acute medicine, elderly medicine, stroke, haematology, cardiology, gastroenterology (including endoscopy and bowel screening services), diabetes and endocrinology, respiratory and rheumatology. Our aim to provide high quality care to our patients with excellent patient experience outcomes.

Attention to detail, organisational skills with precise and clear communication are vital parts of this important role alongside good IT skills.

The role will support the directorate on a rota basis supporting cover Monday to Friday 8am till 4pm and Saturday to Sunday 8am till 8pm.

Full support and internal training will be offered to the successful candidate.

Main duties of the job

Administrative support to ward staff, liaising with other departments within the Trust and outside the organisation.

This role is an integral part in the achievement of the Trust’s strategic objectives.

The post holder will be required to assist in the provision of a professional, high quality effective and efficient administrative and clerical support service to a multi-disciplinary team that meets the needs of the service and the requirements of all related policies, procedures and guidelines, meeting the high demands of the post, and working to tight deadlines whilst remaining calm, flexible and organised.
