Job summary
You will be the point of contact for managing radiology requests in patient pathways following a suspected cancer referral. You will co-ordinate with the clinical and administrative teams to arrange the next steps in the pathway and will communicate these to the referring team, cancer pathway navigators, MDT co-ordinators and patients as appropriate.
You will be expected to attended face to face meetings at Maidstone Hosptial on a Tuesday & Wednesday, and attend Tunbridge Wells Hospital at least once a week.
Main duties of the job
The role is demanding so you must be confident, assertive and have the ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure. You will need good listening and communication skills and be able to deal with people both internally and externally in a sensitive and professional manner. The ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to Trust policies is paramount. You will have experience in patient pathway management and will be confident using patient administration systems. Excellent team working, organisational and communication skills are all essential for this post, along with clear experience of resolving problems.
