An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust as a key member of the Finance and Procurement team, to assist with providing efficient, effective and high quality AP support.
Supporting the P2P Compliance Manager and the Accounts Payable Transaction Service provider in ensuring that:
Supplier invoices, credit notes and statements are processed promptly and accurately and in accordance with the Trust Standing Financial Instructions and procedures
Budget managers and suppliers comply with process standard and procedures
Supplier Accounts are reconciled
The integrity of the general ledger is maintained
Compliance with the Better Payment Practice Code is achieved
All internal and external deadlines are met
Agreed KPIs are achieved
A positive, proactive and committed approach is essential – the ability to analyse, innovate and manage a heavy and changing workload against tight deadlines.
The successful candidate must have recent Accounts Payable experience in a large organisation, and should be able to plan workloads in order to meet strict and conflicting deadlines.
Main duties of the job
Act as an expert resource within the Trust on Accounts Payable processes and systems and provide advice to financial and non- financial managers. Supervise and contribute to the general management of the team. This includes developing and providing P2P training to all users in addition to ensuring that all user and process guides on the Trust’s intranet are kept up to date.
