Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Immunisation Nurse to join our Plymouth Team on a bank contract. The post holder will work alongside substantive and bank colleagues, and will be based at Estover Health Centre but will require wider travel across the locality.

Main duties of the job

As a BankImmunisation Nurse at HCRG Care Group,your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of vaccines and equipment ready for sessions
  • Safe administration of vaccines following guidance
  • Assessing the health needs of young people
  • Collaborative working with bank colleagues
  • Supporting the Senior Immunisation nurse as a deputy

    As a Bank Band 5 Immunisation Nurse, you’ll be part of our valued team at Plymouth

  • Ability to meet the travel requirements of the post (driving self and others in own vehicle or team van throughout Devon)
  • Able to meet the manual handling requirements of the post
  • Flexible and adaptable to varied work pattern frequent early starts and occasional evening/ weekend work.
  • You will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel.
