Sutton PCNs are looking to recruit FirstContact Physiotherapists to work across its practices. The role involves working very closely with the practices and themultidisciplinary team (MDT) within the PCN. Main duties of the job

Toact as a First Contact Physiotherapist Practitioner in Primary Care providingclinical expertise, diagnostics and decision making to manage MSK patientsolder than 18 years of age in Sutton PCNs. This will involve seeing patientswithout prior contact with their GP.

Tosupport self-management, facilitating: behavioural change in line with publichealth; mobility and physical activity; personal goal achievement andminimising the need for pharmacological intervention.

Tooperate according to the FCP MSK Memorandum of Understanding / Agreement in GPpractices, managing the GP MSK patient workload through independent assessment,diagnosis and ongoing management of the Patients musculoskeletal concern.

Sutton has apopulation of approximately 200000 residents registered to 23 practices andthere are currently 4 Primary Care Networks (PCNs); Carshalton, Cheam &South Sutton, Central Sutton and Wallington PCN; each serving a population ofapproximately 50000 patients. Sutton PCN isforward-looking, friendly and focused on providing a wide range of excellenthealthcare services to patients in Sutton and the surrounding area.   • Demonstrate working at Level 7 capability in MSK related areas of
  • practice or equivalent (such as advanced assessment diagnosis and
  • treatment)
  • Evidence working towards or completed stage 1 of HEE MSK roadmap or can demonstrate the right competency and values for the role.
  • Desirable

  • May hold or be working towards a
  • MSc physiotherapy qualification
  • May hold or be working towards a
  • prescribing qualification

  • Demonstrates current advanced postgraduate knowledge, evidence based practice and experience within the Physiotherapy Services MSK Specialism
