Your responsibilities

  • Ensure that all unallocated items are allocated, being followed up and escalated if needed
  • Follow up, solve and/or escalate queries related to invoices
  • Ensure compliance with Salvation Army policies and procedure
  • Liaise with stakeholders such as funders and internal staff to ensure queries are resolved
  • Raise manual invoices
  • Support manager with ad hoc requests, reports and recording new streams of income as requested
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as and when required to support the finance team as a whole
  • Specifications:

  • Interpersonal skills: Excellent interpersonal and team working skills combined with an ability to communicate professionally both verbal and in writingAble to process transactions quickly and accurately and can work under pressureExperience prioritising tasks
  • Admin: 35h per weekAble to work efficiently from home (3 days per week) and at THQ (Elephant and Castle – twice a week Tuesdays and Fridays)
  • This is a permanent position based at our Headquarters currently at 101 Newington Causeway, London SE1 6BN. In 2023 we will be moving to our new, modern headquarters at Denmark Hill, London, SE5 8BQ. This exciting new building will provide a more effective workplace to help The Salvation Army better achieve its mission.
