Robert Half are working with our client, a FTSE listed business based in Central Bristol, in their recruitment of a Finance Systems Analyst on a permanent contract. Sitting in the FP&A team, this is a newly created role to sit in between finance & IT and business partner to resolve finance system issues and develop process efficiencies. The overall aim of this role-holder is to ensure that the business has on-time, correct and accurate reporting to enable the business to make key commercial decisions. As it’s a newly-created role, there will be lots of autonomy to really scope and shape it to make it your own & put your own stamp on things! The salary on offer here is up to £72,000 + good benefits. Responsibilities:

  • Perform root cause analysis and align issues to the correct technical partner
  • Ensuring that SLAs are met with fixing open tickets, analysis and tracking these
  • Ensure long term solutions are developed to fix recurring issues
  • Lead conversations between technical & non-technical teams to resolve issues
  • Ensure communications to end users on systems issues are timely & informative
  • Work with IT to ensure that upcoming SAP releases are appropriately planned for
  • Identify gaps in processes and procedures and implement new ones to ensure that finance receive the right level of support and reporting is done on time and to a required quality.

    • About You:

  • Background in finance (either be a qualified accountant or QBE – qualified by experience)
  • Prior experience in SAP BW
  • Strong partnering skills
  • Keen eye for process improvements
