Your role

This is a hands-on technical manager role where you’ll have the opportunity to own a delivery stream while leading a team. You’ll be a co-owner of a product domain and part of a cross-functional product team alongside Product Directors, Designers and Engineers. You’ll use your analytics expertise to drive the strategy and prioritisation of our products. You’ll help define product success metrics, design the measurement frameworks and collaborate with wider engineering teams to implement how we collect data and deploy analytics.

As a product analytics manager, you’ll coach your team to deliver impactful product insights and measurements and ensure your team is a trusted partner to drive product strategy. Product analytics is part of our Data and Analytics organisation which consists of data platform engineering, analytics engineering and data product management. As a leader in your field, you’ll join other data leaders to help build and scale our data & analytics practice.

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage and support a group of product analysts, ensure product analytics is a core partner in data-informed product development
  • Own a product domain and how the metrics are defined, measured and reported, and define high-impact areas for improvement
  • Contribute product roadmaps through the presentation of data-based recommendationsSupporting product discovery, research, and experimentation
  • Working closely with Data Analytics Engineers and Data Engineers to make sure we collect and model the right data to produce relevant business insights
  • Foster data culture across products and technology by actively sharing insights, and ideas and building strong relationships with fellow leaders.
  • Build and iterate on experiments to understand users and drive our product metrics, enabling us to take quick action
  • Drive by example your team and wider data community to apply best practices in analytics from data collection to analysis
  • Who you are

  • Strong communicator, with the ability to concisely communicate to non-technical team members
  • Demonstrable experience in empowering and leading others
  • Excellent data interrogation using SQL
  • Experience in working with product development teams and having done this through a few cycles of digital products
  • Experience in building measurement systems and applying appropriate analytical methods (testing/experimentation, predictive modelling etc..) to drive insights
  • Extensive experience with data visualisation tools such as Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI
  • Knowledge of applied statistics (e.g hypothesis testing, regressions)
  • Experience with clickstream tracking platforms such as Heap, Snowplow, Google Analytics
