Fleet Tutors are currently searching for dedicated Secondary level tutors to support young learners within Ealing.

Following increased demand for our tutoring services, we’re currently looking for passionate teachers and tutors in the above area, particularly those experienced in core subjects.

Predominantly working with students in their own homes or in their schools, we can offer in-person tutoring roles that involve bolstering the confidence of GCSE level students who have either disengaged with education or are struggling to meet expected targets. We are of the belief that through tutoring a young person can fully realise their potential through genuine rapport built with their tutor– by being a constant in their lives you can dramatically bolster their self-worth.

This is your opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s education.

What we offer:

Our tutors enjoy the benefits of working with a leading education service provider whilst retaining the autonomy of being self-employed, allowing them to tutor alongside any current commitments. Our helpful tuition co-ordinators pride themselves on their ability to match our tutors to varied tutoring opportunities, doing so based around the tutor’s preferences and overall availability.

  • Varied tuition opportunities that can conform around your availability
  • Competitive pay rates, ranging between £25-30 per hour dependent on qualifications – paid directly via Fleet Tutors, so no need to create your own invoices
  • Access to ongoing training opportunities, including safeguarding, online tutoring and CPD
  • Dedicated tuition co-ordinators who will match you to placements, providing you with both student background information and ongoing support throughout your time tutoring

What are we looking for:

We are searching for patient and engaging tutors of core subjects (English, Maths and Science) to support students who are either outside of mainstream education or require additional support to help them reach their targets set in school. We would be delighted to hear from you if you have teaching, tutoring or mentoring experience.

Our service embraces diversity, equality and inclusivity in equal measure – we welcome all applicants that reflect our values and can demonstrate the following:

  • Availability to tutor during daytimes, evenings, or weekends
  • Experience or desire to work with pupils with Special Education Needs
  • A good understanding of the Primary curriculum
  • Belief that all children deserve a good education
  • Strong academic record (minimum degree level qualification)
  • Prior teaching/tutoring experience – 6 months preferred
  • Engaging and inspiring whilst being diligent, organised, and reliable
  • Must have the right to work and live in the UK

Tutor Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver tailored tutoring packages on a 1:1 or small group basis
  • Create lesson plans designed to engage pupils
  • Engage pupils in sessions using varied learning-based activities
  • Session reports on progress & engagement to be submitted
