The Division of Psychology () delivers a portfolio of successful and popular degree programmes including a BSc Psychology and BSc Psychology (Sport, Health & Exercise) at undergraduate level. At postgraduate level we deliver MSc Psychological Sciences (Conversion), MSc Cognitive & Clinical Neuroscience and MSc Psychology, Culture & Evolution programmes.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a highly motivated academic to build the research strengths of our Centre for Culture and Evolution (CCE) and our teaching capacity in areas such as social/cross-cultural psychology, individual differences, evolutionary psychology, and human sexual diversity.
The CCE () brings together cross-cultural, evolutionary, developmental, personality and social psychologists with relationship scientists and cultural evolution researchers to conduct pioneering research focused on revealing how our evolved human nature generates the diverse array of cultural practices and behaviours observed around the world. For this post, we are particularly interested in someone who could contribute to our Gender, Sexuality & Relationships theme, e.g. focusing on individual and/or cultural differences in aspects of psychology and behaviour relevant to the theme.
The successful candidate will have completed or be near completion of their PhD in an appropriate area, have appropriate teaching experience in higher education, and an emerging research profile with publications suitable for submission to the next Research Excellence Framework (REF) exercise.
