Robert Half are pleased to be recruiting an exciting opportunity to join the team of our client based in Charlgrove (near Wallingford) as a Finance Manager. The Finance Manager will receive a salary of up to £45,000 along with other attractive benefits including a hybrid remote working system! This is a rapidly growing SME and the Finance Manager role would suit an individual who enjoys business partnering with other departments and can see ‘the big picture’. Ideally the Finance Manager will be a part qualified accountant as a minimum.

Primary responsibilities of the Finance Manager include –

  • Overall responsibility for the finance functions within the organisation.
  • Lead, manage and develop the finance team of 3.
  • Hands on involvement in certain areas when required.
  • Ensure an efficient month-end process alongside the Management Accountant.
  • Responsibility for all statutory filings including VAT returns in the UK & EU.
  • Work with all departments to ensure continual process improvements.
  • Provide analysis and support to the wider company on all financial matters when required.
  • The key experience and attributes of the Finance Manager include –

  • Part qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA)
  • Strong month end and management accounts experience
  • Experience of managing and developing a similar size finance team
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved in the detail
  • Confident IT user with strong Excel skills
