Nursery / EFYS Teaching Assistant needed for St Helens Primary school for long-term role. We are currently recruiting for a EFYS Teaching Assistant / Nursery Assistant for a Primary school in the St Helens area. The nursery is attached to primary school and is in a rural setting. This position is long-term with the hours of 08:45 to 16:15 each day (Monday to Friday) – term-time only. A successful candidate should be warm, approachable, and energetic. You should be able to create working relationships with ease and have experience of continuous provision in setting up play activities. You will be expected to immerse yourself in all aspects of the EYFS curriculum and assist Teaching staff to support pupils. They give the opportunity for learners to explore the outdoor and chose projects which may be of interest to them. Your new role.Your new role will see you working in the Early Years framework. You will be expected to track and report developmental stages in connection with the EYFS curriculum and immerse yourself in daily activities. You will be required to take small groups of children out to deliver intervention sessions to bridge attainment gaps. You will work closely with Teaching staff and follow the CPD calendar as denoted by the school. You may also work alongside undiagnosed SEN issues. This role will be working with toddlers aged between 2 and 3 years and will incorporate messy and outdoor play. What you’ll need to succeedTo be considered, you must have:.- Experience of working within the EYFS Framework and have a childcare qualification.- Enthusiasm, energy and flexibility.- Have experience of working with children within the last 3 years.- Highly motivated and driven to exceed expectations.- Up to date DBS preferred.
