About the role

You will be working with students aged 3-11 years old within the school’s additional resource provision for students with speech and language communication needs. The specialist provision at the school is for pupils who do not require a place in a special school but would find it difficult to make adequate progress and close their attainment gap without additional support provided through the provision. The aim of the provision will be to promote a clear ethos throughout the whole school that promotes inclusion, high expectations and a commitment to improve outcomes for pupils with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD). Individuals with experience working with Autism and speech and language needs associated with this are highly desirable for the role.

About the school

This mixed mainstream Primary school has an additionally resourced provision funded by London Borough of Harrow for primary pupils with a diagnosis of ASD who have an EHC Plan or statement of SEN. The aims of the provision will be to offer inclusive mainstream education and social opportunities, alongside access to specialist intervention from teaching staff and in class support. Pupils will be enabled to make good progress in their learning, communication and social skills. The school is easily accessible by several local transportation links and has parking onsite for those who drive.
