Job Overview

This is an incredible opportunity for a part-time solicitor looking to be part of a growing in-house legal team. 

As part of the in-house legal department of a global company, you will have the opportunity to work on a broad array of commercial legal matters involving and providing direct support and guidance to our global commercial teams across the various lines of business

We are looking for a resourceful and driven legal professional, capable of handling a wide arrange of legal matters, with a focus on contract and agreement drafting and negotiation. The successful candidate will also play a key role in creating operational efficiencies within the legal department to improve work-flow processes and procedures. This position offers a truly unique opportunity to develop professionally and has excellent opportunity for growth within the Company.

This role will report to Legal Team and will be based in London, generally working remotely, but with expectation that the successful candidate will from time to time (approximately 1-2 x per month) work from our Perivale office.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Drafting, editing and negotiating existing commercial and vendor agreements, Non Disclosure/Confidentiality Agreements, as well as other legal documents
  • Researching legislation and regulations that are relevant as need necessitates
  • Supporting on data and privacy related matters in, Europe, North America and other regions where needed
  • Maintaining and updating contract and other legal document templates
  • Providing support in connection with annual KYC, AML and due diligence inquiries from financial institutions
  • Occasionally providing support to Executive Team as needed with due diligence, capital raises, and M&A.

Requirements/Skills

  • Law degree + license required
  • Minimum of three years of general legal experience with at least two years working in a commercial legal role
  •  Preference for experience working with GDPR and other data privacy laws
  •  Ability to execute complex projects and strong demonstrated negotiation skills
  •  Understanding of data and knowing how to use it to make recommendations to teams
  •  Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and prioritisation skills
  •  Creative and analytical thinker and problem solver who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritise and oversee multiple projects at once
  •  Attention to detail and work well with cross-functional teams
  • Timeline-driven with a strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
  •  French language skills preferred (not required)
