A Stores Supervisor is needed to ensure the smooth running within the warehouse including ensuring the warehouse is appropriately stocked, that Health and Safety requirements are met and that workloads for delivery personnel are planned appropriately.

Salford Equipment Service are responsible for providing equipment and minor adaptations to residents of Salford. The equipment provided can help people return home from hospital, live a more independent life or assist people with a sensory loss.

Much of our equipment is stored on premises in Worsley meaning that we can provide a timely response to requests from a wide range of professionals.

Main duties of the job

Working alongside the Store Manager the Supervisor will be responsible for the overall running of the Community Equipment Warehouse based at Burrows House. Duties will include ensuring there is sufficient stock, ensuring health and safety requirements are adhered to and allocating priority work to Equipment and Wheelchair Support Workers and Equipment Maintenance Technicians.

This is a varied and busy environment that would suit someone who is able to prioritise their work and the work of others to accomodate urgent requests.

Salford Equipment Service is a busy environment with a variety of roles working within the warehouse and community to deliver, install, collect and decontaminate equipment.

Equipment and Wheelchair Support Workers and Equipment Maintenance Technicians provide equipment and minor adaptations across the borough of Salford with the service in high demand to meet the needs of Salford residents. Main duties include:

  • Considerable experience of working in a warehouse environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience of stores procedures including: Stock Rotation, Stocktaking, Stock Replenishments and Returns
  • Knowledge of Medical and Healthcare regulatory Agency and its implication on practice
  • Able to prioritise own workload and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to manage the workload of others and move resources at short notice
