Maintenance Repair Technician (R&D) Lab Tech

Full Time Temp assignment: 37.5 hours per week.

Ongoing requirement – 6 month initially (with possibility of extension)

Pay: £16 – £20 per Hour

    Main role responsibilities include:

  • Organise/Maintain laboratory storage & supplies.
  • Manage calibration within department including suppliers
  • Coordinate laboratory maintenance with facilities.
  • Coordinate external contractors including work permits for any work/maintenance within the laboratory
  • Setup of test benches and all related test environment.
  • Build up and maintain motor test rigs.
  • Manufacture cable assemblies
  • Order stock and non-stock items
  • Your Skills and Experience:

  • Experience and/or qualification or equivalent in relevant area of electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Testing experience in a maintenance role ideally
  • Good soldering skills of SMD / THT Components is useful
  • Knowledge in cable assemblies including cable crimping.
  • Computer knowledge (Microsoft Office / SharePoint)
  • Electrical skills (Cables assemblies, crimping)
  • Mechanical Skills (Drilling, Assembly)
