Main duties of the job
This is a permanent 8a or band 7 development post, and the post holder will be expected to provide specialist clinical input and support to both the Memory Assessment Service MDT and the Older Peoples Community Mental Health Team (OPMH CMHT). For successful applicants recruited to a band 7 developmental post, the post holder will be able to progress from band 7 to 8a once they demonstrate that they meet the competencies for band 8a level.
The role is varied, interesting and involve; delivering tailored individual and group psychological therapies to an Older Adult clinical population, undertaking specialist neuropsychological assessment and formulation, and pre- and post-diagnostic support and intervention. . As well as providing direct clinical input to clients, this will also involve working through others by training, supervision, and formulation work. The post holder will be expected to integrate well and form good working relationships with their multi-disciplinary (MDT) colleagues, providing specialist psychological knowledge, expertise and consultation to the team.. It will also involve attendance at clinical MDT meetings, team referral meetings and service wide business meetings. Enthusiasm and commitment are essential.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
