Job Description

Career Teachers are currently looking for a number of teaching assistants to work in a SEN High school on a full-time or part-time basis. All students at this school have Education & Health Care Plans (EHCP’s) specifying Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties as their primary need.

Our client is a specialist provision that provides bespoke education and support for each student. It is central to their practice that each student is treated as an individual so that the school can meet their complex needs.

Applications are encouraged from those with a background in working in SEND schools, residential support, care, or those with a vested interest in working within SEND careers such as Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists and similar.

Responsibilities

  • Be aware of, and remain responsible for all safeguarding of pupils within your care
  • Work collaboratively with both teaching and support staff to ensure best outcomes for students
  • Foster independence in students and promote well-being and good welfare
  • Support with the personal care of students
