Vacancy: Personal Assistant for Dietetic Service

Salary: AFC Band 4

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 1.0 wte

Contract: Temporary (6 months)

Base: Dietetic Department, Royal Edinburgh Hospital, Morningside Terrace, Edinburgh.

Please note that the successful candidate will on occasion be required to travel to other sites in Lothian to support events, attend meetings, take minutes or for staff training.

Post Detail:

We are seeking an enthusiastic self-motivated individual to provide an effective comprehensive range of secretarial and administrative support duties primarily for the Head of Dietetics but also for other senior dietetic service leads and tasks to support the wider team.

Experience:

Applicants must have proven advanced administrative and secretarial skills, have competent IT skills including ability to coordinate electronic diary management. Advanced word processing skills and the ability to organise and coordinate high level meetings is essential. Experience of using databases and spreadsheets is also desirable

The successful candidate must have well developed organisational and interpersonal skills with a flexible approach to work. The ability to work well within a team is also essential.

Candidates will be educated to higher level or have an equivalent level of work experience as a P.A. or in providing administrative / secretarial support within a large department/organisation.
