RECRUITMENTiQ are delighted to be working a College based in Winchester who are looking for an Operations Manager.About the JobThis is an exciting opportunity to appoint a full-time Operations Manager, starting as soon as possible. The Operations Manager reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and is a key leadership role within the Operations team. The role is responsible for a number of key operational areas including security, transport, laundry and staff housing, as well as leading on varied operational change projects as required by the school, such as critical response management, venue management, and sustainability. The Operations Manager will play a critical part in?building a culture of continuous improvement throughout the school,?through identifying opportunities, conducting analysis and providing insight into ways we can change.?It requires establishing professional relationships with staff at all levels throughout the organisation and will involve close liaison with other members of the management team, as well as key external suppliers,?advisers and other stakeholders.? The Operations Manager should be confident and determined, able to demonstrate a positive and flexible approach to work and have the ability to work collaboratively and to manage and motivate all levels of staff. The main responsibilities of the role are:

  • Ownership of a number of operational processes across the school, including the staff housing process, managing the effective staff allocation of >50 residential properties on campus
  • Leading implementation of new operational systems to improve the school’s efficiency
  • Working with teams across the school?to?ensure smooth running of the school and drive efficiency, quality of provision, and improvements in sustainable operations
  • Lead the Security, Transport, and Laundry operations of the school, delivering leadership to the team, operational improvements and better ways of working
  • Support the COO in identifying, defining?and leading?transformational projects?that will?step change?how the school operates
  • Help build?a culture?of?continuous improvement?in our operations, gaining buy-in from key stakeholders across the organisation to any changes required?
  • Produce business cases that support the case for change covering both financial and non-financial objectives?
  • Produce ongoing and ad hoc?operational metrics and analysis to improve visibility,?insight,?and?decision making,?helping?the school achieve its goals?

Salary will be £55,000-£65,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position includes a generous benefits package, including a pension auto-enrolment scheme and access to excellent sport facilities.Working hoursThis is a full-time role, generally Monday to Friday, with the addition of some evening and weekend requirement.
