Job title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Hours of work: Full time
Applicants must have experience of the following:
* Electrical/electronic engineering degree or equivalent industry experience
* Experience in an Electrical/Electronic Engineer or Product Engineer role
* Proven electrical / electronic design skills
* Experience of circuit design, PCB layout and embedded software (MPLAB, STM32. ATMEL)
* Good knowledge of electrical systems and designing for EMC compliance
* Good knowledge of PCB design software
* Good knowledge of electrical design software
* Skilled in generating design calculations
* Knowledge of design standards
Candidates would ideally have:
* Previous product design experience would be advantageous
Role information:
* Provide engineering design input to new products
* Provide engineering support to the existing product range
* Assess technical queries and provide engineering solutions to a wide-ranging products portfolio
* Sourcing suitable components and materials when required
* Creation of part numbers and bill of materials
* Creation of engineering documentation such as specifications, proposals, assembly instructions, test procedures, certification, and reports.
* Checking detailed manufacturing drawings and documentation.
* Accountability and responsibility as technical approver of drawings and documentation generated within the electrical, electronic and embedded software products team.
* Management of team on performance, development, allocation/delegation of work, compliance to internal and external standards & regulations as well as day to day management such as approval of holidays, sickness leave and time reporting.
