The role
Lewisham is undergoing huge transformation with unparalleled levels of investment and development, and a regeneration programme for the area more ambitious than any since the Victorian era. With major developments in Catford, Lewisham, Deptford, New Cross and others across the borough, award winning schemes, two Housing Zones and the Bakerloo Line extension, the transformation is well underway.

We are seeking a number of enthusiastic Development Management junior planning officers wanting to apply their skills and expand their horizons

The work we have is diverse, exciting and challenging and you will be working with a friendly team that is dedicated, positive and focussed on quality and high performance.

You will make a significant contribution to the regeneration of the borough through the innovative and practical development of proposals for planning permission to ensure that growth and regeneration in the borough is delivered in line with the Development Plan and achieves a high quality design and placemaking.

Location
Laurence House, Catford part remote based.

Positions exist for junior planning officers at Scale 6 within the flexible and progressive career grade available for officers within the Development Management section. These positions are suitable for someone seeking a permanent position in the planning service and looking for career progress within development management.

You should be able to demonstrate integrity and a strong drive and aptitude to deliver positive outcomes individually and as part of a team, helping to promote and fulfil the boroughs development and growth sustainably and to the highest standard. You will be able to demonstrate that you are a strong role model with a personal commitment to and responsibility for a high quality of work across the team.
