The Role – SEN Teaching Assistant The position of the SEN Teaching Assistant is a long-term, full-time role in the London Borough of Newham supporting primary aged students in year 3 with autism. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will need to be familiar with working with visual timetables and picture cards to support students with their communication in the classroom. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working both 1:1 and leading Literacy interventions with small groups of students. The position is for a nurturing, yet assertive support assistant with a dynamic and bubbly persona. To be considered for the position you must have an enhanced DBS on the update service and must be able to start a long-term role immediately. The School – SEN Teaching Assistant The school is a form entry 3 primary school, in the London Borough of Newham, catering for approximately 620 students aged 4-11 years old.
