A friendly and inclusive specialist school is looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join their community and support children with various additional needs. The pupils have a range of learning needs and behavioural challenges, including ASL learners and those with low cognitive abilities. The perfect candidate will therefore need to be understanding, proactive and ready for a challenge!

The children in this school require a Learning Support Assistant who understands their complex needs and is open-minded, empathetic and caring. The ideal candidate will have experience in SEN, specifically with SLD learned who display challenging physical behaviours and possess knowledge of de-escalation techniques (MAPPA, breakaway, Pro-Act SCIP etc). Experience using ‘holds’ to de-escalate in a crisis is also preferred.

The Specialist School is located in a lovely area in Bracknell and is a full-time position starting ASAP. It is a highly regarded school with experienced and supportive staff and has on-site parking.
